ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
AIRPORT MOWING AND GROUNDS MAINTENANCE SERVICES
Sealed bids will be received by the Town of Jonesboro, Louisiana, at Town Hall, 128 Allen Avenue,
Jonesboro, Louisiana 71251, until 10:00 A.M. CST on July 10, 2026, for Airport Mowing and Grounds
Maintenance Services at the Jonesboro Municipal Airport (F88).
At the time and place stated above, bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The successful bidder
shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, supervision, fuel, and transportation necessary to perform
mowing and grounds maintenance services for approximately 147 acres of airport property, including but
not limited to:
• Mowing of all airport grounds;
• Weed eating and trimming;
• Bush hogging as required;
• Herbicide application as necessary;
• Debris removal associated with grounds maintenance;
• Tree trimming and vegetation control;
• Maintenance of areas surrounding runway lighting, taxiways, navigational aids, drainage areas, and
other airport facilities.
Services should be performed on a bi-weekly basis or more frequently as necessary to maintain Federal
Aviation Administration (FAA) compliance and airport safety standards. The contract term shall be for
one (1) year. The Town reserves the right to terminate the contract for convenience upon thirty (30) days’
written notice. Bidders shall submit a fixed monthly price for all services.
Each bidder shall provide proof of:
• Current business license;
• General Liability Insurance with minimum coverage of $1,000,000;
• Workers' Compensation Insurance as required by Louisiana law;
• References demonstrating similar grounds maintenance experience.
Subcontracting shall not be permitted without the prior written approval of the Mayor of the Town of
Jonesboro. Bid documents may be obtained from Town Hall, 128 Allen Avenue, Jonesboro, Louisiana
71251, during regular business hours. The Town of Jonesboro reserves the right to reject any and all
bids, waive informalities, and accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the Town.
