NOTE: Payments must be received by the due date in order to avoid late fees, including payments submitted by mail, regardless of what date is written or printed on the form of payment or postmark. Payments made through the after-hours dropbox are not considered received until the following business day, regardless of the date written or printed on the form of payment.

Start New Services

In order to begin utility services with the Town of Jonesboro, a prospective user must complete and sign our Utility Service Application. Applicants must provide a rental or lease agreement or other document as evidence of residency/occupancy.

Once we receive a new service application, we will begin processing the application and issue a work order to begin service. New service applied for before 3:00 p.m. can be turned on the same day. New service applied for after 3:00 p.m. will not be turned on until the following business day. If a new meter installation is required, the start of new service will be delayed. (Please contact Town Hall regarding specific delays in reference to new meter installations.)

Termination of Services

In order to terminate utilitiy services with the Town of Jonesboro, an account holder must complete and sign a Refund Request Form.

Once a request is filed, termination of services will begin being processed. Upon termination, meter deposits, except for any outstanding balance, will be returned to account holders 30 days after termination. In order to receive a full deposit refund, the last bill on the account must be paid in full.

IMPORTANT: Failure to terminate services will result in reoccuring charges, with applicable fees.
